Kazan Opera opens the new season by premiere of the "L'elisir d'amore"

The team Tatar academic state opera and ballet theatre started work in the new season. In September 2014 there will be two premieres: the opera  "L'elixir d'amore" by  Donizetti  directed by Yuri Alexandrov and "Carmina Burana, or Wheel of Fortune", presented during Nuriev Ballet Festival on May 2014. 

In October opera troupe will go to the tour to Netherlands (with a performances of "Seekers of pearls"). In November the ballet troupe will go on long tour in Europe: France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switzerland ("Giselle", "Swan lake", "Nutcracker"). 

In February in theatre  traditional Shalyapin Opera festival will  be held. In parallel, preparations for the grand premiere of "The Mass  h-moll" directed by Vladimir Vasiliev will take place. Performance will take place in April in Kazan and in Moscow.

In may The International festival of classical ballet named Rudolf Nureyev will be held in Kazan.
