Tatarstan opera theatre company returns from Europe

The Opera Company of the Tatar State Opera and Ballet Theatre has recently returned from the European tour. The theater toured its Turandot and Traviata productions throughout Belgium and the Netherlands to the audience of nearly 20000 spectators. More than 30 plays were performed within one and a half month.

“The tour turned out a success. Europeans are familiar with the brand Staatsoper Tatarstan” and the tickets were sold out beforehand. The theatre company stopped off at the largest stages of the countries, including the famous Lucent theatre in The Hague”, the Theatre’s Deputy Director Yury Larionov said.

The Tatar Sate Opera and Ballet Theater is considered one of the most actively “touring” theaters in Russia. Annually it plays on average 150 productions abroad. Only the Mariinsky Theatre, Saint-Petersburg is proud to be staging more projects abroad.
