Tatar Opera and Ballet Theatre company goes on tour of Europe

The Tatar Opera and Ballet Theatre after Jalil on 5 October begins its traditional autumnal foreign tour. Tatarstan State Opera will in October and November present to audiences in the Netherlands and Belgium productions of Turandot and La Traviata. The shows will take place in Amsterdam, the Hague, Gouda, Apeldoorn, Alkmaar, Breda and other cities.

Over the 1.5 months, the artistes will stage 34 performances.

The productions will feature principal performers, the orchestra, choir, as well as theatre’s guest stars, including Ahmed Agadi of the Mariin Theatre, Oksana Kramareva, Sergei Kovnir, Lilia Grevtsova, Nurzhan Bazhekenov and others. Theatre’s chief conductor Renat Salavatov and Alla Moskalenko will be at the conductor's stand.

The Tatar Opera and Ballet company is one of the most extensively touring ones in Russia, having since 1993 annually visited the Western Europe, including Holland, Belgium, France, Denmark, Portugal, Germany, Austria and Norway, and presenting up to 150 performances a season abroad.

In the 2012/13 season, the Tatar Opera and Ballet Theatre after M. Jalil will make four large tours, the opera company in October-November performing in Holland and Belgium, while the ballet company in November-February going to Norway, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the Netherlands.

In April 2013, fourteen Spartacus ballet shows are scheduled to be presented in Europe.
