Jalil theatre sells out tickets for European tour

(Brussels, October 31, Tatar-inform, Lilia Valeeva). The Tatar Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre after Musa Jalil created a stir during its tour to Belgium and the Netherlands.

The tight schedule means constant travelling from one hall to the next, frequent performances, instant adjustment to new premises and changing technical and local conditions. One component does not alter, though, and that is the rapturous reception by the Western audiences of the art the Kazan theatre generously and proficiently doles out. The De Telegraaf newspaper said earlier that many theatres in Western Europe could be envious of the solo performers and chorus line the Tatarstan’s theatre has.

The Union of Tatars in Belgium leader Regina Valeeva said after the first performance of Mozart’s Magic Flute the evening was a double feast for the Belgian Tatars, since they, first, enjoyed the music by Mozart and pure voices of the solo singers and, second, relished the special artistic style of the Tatarstan theatre.

The company will this season have to come onstage in Belgium and Holland more than one hundred times, theatre deputy director Eduard Bagautdinov shared. Tickets for some performances, including The Magic Flute and The Sleeping Beauty in November and December, were sold out in the first ten days of October.
