(Kazan, May 30, Tatar-Inform, Maria Kiryukhina). Famous Russian ballet dancer Anastasia Volochkova visited Kazan to take part in the gala-concert of the 24th International Festival of Classic Ballet named after Rudolf Nuriev. It was the first time the ballet dancer took part in the Nuriev Festival, but she had visited Kazan many times before.
“I like this city very much. My memories about Kazan are connected with charity campaign for disabled children,” Anastasia Volochkova told journalists.
The ballet dancer pointed out that her appearance on the stage of the Nuriev Festival was quite unexpected. “Mainly, classic choreography compositions are presented at the festival. I came to Kazan not only with my partner Rinat Arifullin, but also with a dancing-acrobatic team,” Anastasia Volochkova said. “The format of a concert show that I created is popular, because it is an unexpected combination of various genres – dancing art, vocal, opera art, and acrobatic ballet.”
