(Kazan, May 17, Tatar-Inform, Kristina Ivanova). About 45 musicians of Jalil Theater of opera and Ballet have been elected to take part in Sting’s concert in Kazan. The head of Jalil Theater’s Department for Literature and Drama Zhanna Melnikova informed about it at a press-conference at Tatar-Inform agency.
The legendary British musician will give a concert in Kazan on July 2. The singer will perform his best hits as part of the famous world tour “Symphonicity.” Jalil Theater of Opera and Ballet Orchestra conducted by Sarah Hicks will accompany Sting’s performance.
“Kazan expects a historic moment this summer. A unique project is coming to our city. Many people still don’t believe that Sting will perform in Kazan,” Denis Valeyev, organized of Sting’s concert in Tatarstan’s capital, said. “Kazan has been chosen as a city of the famous world tour “Symphonicity” due to convenient geographical location and experience in organizing event of European level.”
According to Denis Valeyev, Kazan musicians have passed a selection procedure. Sting’s managers approved the line-up of the theater musicians. The performance will last at least two hours.
