(Kazan, April 11, Tatar-Inform). The opera troupe of Jalil Tatar Academy State Theater of Opera and ballet has returned from a 1.5-month tour to Europe. Soloists, choir and orchestra of the Tatar opera presented G.Bizet’s “Carmen” and G.Verdi’s “Rigoletto” as part of their spring tour to the Kingdom of Netherlands. The tour was a great success. The productions received positive reviews from critics.
For instance, the Dutch magazine “Place de l’Opera” writes that “the performance “Carmen” is staged in classic style, but amazing freshness and vividness of traditional presentation is attractive. The productions of the Tatar state opera is of such a high class that one would like to see it again and again.”
The artists performed about 40 plays and returned to Kazan.
