Valery Panov’s Israel National Theater to perform in Kazan

Israel Ballet Theater will present to one-act productions in Kazan.

(Kazan, Tatar-Inform). Israel National Theater of Ballet headed by legendary dancer Valery Panov will perform on the stage of Jalil Tatar Academic State Theater of Opera and Ballet on April 9 as part of the first Russian tour.

Panov is a remarkable figure of the world ballet. In the past he broke the “iron curtain.” He left the Soviet Union and received Israeli citizenship. It gave him an opportunity to dance on the best stages and work with the world’s best troupes.

Today Panov’s Ballet is an international team made of artists from Israel, Japan, Germany, England, Latvia, and Bulgaria. There are both classic and modern productions in the theater’s repertoire.

In Kazan Israel Ballet Theater will present two one-act productions in author choreography by Valery Panov: G. Bizet’s “Carmen” and Astor Piazzola’s “Adios”.
