Rustam Minnikhanov visited boarding school of Kazan choreographic college

The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited a  boarding school  of  Kazan choreographic college  , which  has been completed earlier this year.

Among the guests were the Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin, RT Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities  Architects Irek Faizullin, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, director of the Tatar State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre after M. Dzhalilya Raufal Mukhametzyanov and others.

Construction of a 4-storey building with an area of ​​about 1.7 sq.  m.  began in 2013 and   finished  January 1, 2015. Funding amounted to almost 95 million rubles.

Straightaway  upon arrival at the boarding  school  R. Minnikhanov talked with the famous ballet dancer, choreographer, People's Artist of the USSR, a laureate of the State Prize of the USSR Vladimir Vasiliev.

Vladimir Vasilyev told reporters that attending   the  boarding school of  Kazan  choreographic  college   was a surprise for him, since he arrived in Kazan  for his job, and  was suddenly invited to the opening of the boarding school.

"Today is a happy day - and for those who will live in an the boarding school, and for the theater, and for all those who love the art of choreography, because it is an important event. When I studied at  the  choreographic college  in Moscow, we,  unfortunately, had no  boarding school. I lived at home with my  parents, and every day from 10 am  to almost evening I spent at  the choreographic school and came home only to sleep, -  Vladimir Vasiliev said . - Those who will live here will be truly immersed in the art. There are all conditions in order to become a good artists . " He also stressed the importance of connection  between the  choreographic college, the   boarding school and the  theater.

Tatarstan President saw  a building of the   boarding school, in particular, a dining room and a medical unit, a computer room and living rooms for students, as well as a ballet hall.  The students of classical and folk  sections  performed dance items   before the guests.

"Today a happy event - not only of  the cultural life of the region's episode, this  is a prologue to our long-standing dream - to make Kazan one of the centers of choreography", - said the director of the Kazan choreographic college  Tatiana Shakhnina. "We dream that these walls were decorated with pictures of the great masters, grown at  our home," - she added. Tatiana Shakhnina  expressed gratitude to the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and builders. "Until recently, passing by the excavation, we thought it would be a long-term construction. But in a short term  such a beauty  has been created! "- she said. Later she told that the active construction of the building was carried out in  summer of last year. Earlier,  at the Kazan choreographic college  had no boarding school, so parents had to rent an apartment for their children.

In May, the pedagogues of  the college leave for regions  of Tatarstan  in search of new talents. With account of  the current students, the   boarding   school   will be able to take about 15 people. Overall, boarding  Kazan choreographic college  can accommodate 40 nonresident students.
